Vicente Soriano

Born in Valencia (Spain) in 1975

His works are characterised by contemporary abstraction and a strong material–textural presence. Conceived to integrate with elegance and personality into both residential and contract interior design projects.

Vicente Soriano’s work could be summarised through the following scheme: simple forms, neutral tones, and a certain conceptual minimalism. And above all, the power or subtlety, the fierceness or softness of the materials as creative principles — allowing them to exude their own essence and, often, pushing them to the limit of formal and procedural expression.

From the lightness of silver leaf, glazes and varnish, to the tearing of crackled paste, sand or silica, or the veins where life continues to breathe through the wood.

“Form always speaks through matter, sealed together as a meaningful and emotional whole; the rest is left to your gaze, the viewer.”

Main Characteristics of His Work.

  • Neutral and earth tones.
  • Crackled finishes.
  • Backgrounds rich in nuances.
