Xelo Muñoz

Born in Valencia (Spain) in 1975

Her work is characterised by bold geometric structures, the interplay between solid and void, and a precise control of materials. The tension between mass and space defines the core of her sculptural language.

Xelo Muñoz’s pieces combine contemporary visual language with artisanal craftsmanship. Modelled in XPS blocks and reinforced with mortar, they gain body and texture before being transformed with patinas that evoke iron, bronze, or natural stone.

Each volume, each hollow is designed to engage in dialogue with its surroundings: there are references to nature, echoes of 20th-century art, and a play of forms suggesting movement and depth. The result is versatile, resilient, and surprisingly lightweight pieces — ideal for interiors and characterful outdoor spaces alike.

Main characteristics of her work.

  • Oxidised colour patinas.
  • Sculptures.
  • Volumes.
